Week 6 Recap

Week 6 has come and gone in the Lounge Ballin’ season and things are only starting to heat up. Divisional rivalries are in full swing, and a battle for first place went down in the Synthwave Division. Travis Kelce left a Blank Space in København as the Skyline Chili Three-ways became the anti-heroes and created bad blood in their win over the Kokmagics. The small but mighty kok winning streak came to an end, but by no means are they in a bad spot at second in the division.

The week’s top score came out of H-F as the GNUs trounced gli ladri di culo powered by their power trio of running backs that they’re hogging, Etienne, Henry and Swift. GNUville is a good place to be despite the attacks being seen on Lounge Ballin’ Twitter as The HERD’s manager tries to blame others for his own shortcomings in the backfield. Week 10’s matchup between these two teams is sure to have a lot of eyes on it.

A final divisional highlight of the week came out of the Calvin RPing showdown between the Chungus Champions and the Covington Catgirls. Disappointing all-around scoring from Covington led the Champions to a decisive 118-74 victory. The litterbox door was definitely shut on the Catgirls in Week 6. Surely Tyreek Hill can’t be their only weapon on the roster with a hefty upcoming schedule, right?

In transaction news, a blockbuster deal between Njigbas in Paris and the Boise Bussies resulting in Paris acquiring Jalen Hurts and Latavius Murray for Baker Mayfield, Puka Nacua and Joe Mixon went through on Tuesday of this week. Communication between managers went crazy when news of the deal broke, leading to wild speculation that Boise is receiving a handout from Paris. Questions were also raised about how Joe can part with his hometown hero Jalen Hurts, who has led the Bussies through good times and bad for a year and a half. We will see how Mayfield picks up where Hurts left off in Boise as a rebuild looks to be in full effect for the 0-6 Bussies.
